Please note that the practices of I. Kimberley Crispensen & Sons, Inc. (the publisher of Nordic Reach Magazine), Swedish News,  Inc. (the publisher of Nordstjernan and Vestkusten) their affiliates, and agents ("IKCS"), with respect to data collected and used by IKCS in connection with this website and all other websites of IKCS and its affiliates with links to this policy (collectively, the “Site”) and IKCS products and services available or enabled via the Site (“Products and Services”), are governed by this online privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) as amended from time to time, and not the privacy policy in effect at the time the data was collected. Please regularly review our Privacy Policy. If you have objections to any of the information herein, you should immediately discontinue use of the Site and the Products and Services enabled by the Site. This Privacy Policy does not govern privacy practices associated with offline activities, websites other than the Site, or Products and Services not available or enabled via the Site.

The Site and the Products and Services are intended for adult audiences, and IKCS does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.

Collection of personal information

As a visitor to this Site, you can engage in many activities without providing any personal information. In connection with other activities, such as utilizing online subscription order forms or hosted Products and Services, IKCS may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling out and submitting a form. It is optional for you to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, IKCS may ask that you provide personal information, such as your first and last name, mailing address (including ZIP code), country of residence, e-mail address, telephone, and other personal information. When ordering Products and Services via the Site, you may be asked to provide a credit card number. Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity. By using this Site and the Products and Services, you agree and acknowledge that personal information collected through the Site or in connection with the Products and Services may be transferred across IKCS offices. You also acknowledge that under certain circumstances or with respect to certain activities, the collection, transfer, storage, and processing of your information may be undertaken by trusted third parties. Such third parties are bound by contract with IKCS not to use your personal information for their own purposes or provide it to any third parties. One instance where this could occur is in conjunction with the preparation for mailing of magazine or the shipment of campaign products.

For example, if permitted under applicable law, we may supplement your Registration Information with address information provided by the U.S. Postal Service to qualify your information and prevent errors in our database. How your personal information is used

IKCS collects your information in order to record, support and facilitate your participation in the activities you select. If you subscribe to a magazine title or newspaper, for example, the information is used to mail printed copies of the item and offer other benefits that may be made available to registered users. As another example, if you enter a contest, information is collected to qualify the entry and to contact you regarding the contest or prize awards. Your personal information is also used to track customer preferences and keep you informed about special offers, and other products and services of IKCS and selected third parties unless you have opted not to receive such communications or such communications are prohibited by law.

IKCS may collect information about the use of the Products and Services and the Site, such as the number of downloads, types of Services used, how many users we receive daily, and the IP/Internet address of your computer. This information is collected in aggregate form, without identifying any user individually.

Protection of your personal information

The personal information that you provide in connection with registering yourself as a user of the Site, as a subscribes, or user of the Products and Services is classified as Registration Information. Registration Information is protected in several ways. Access by you to your Registration Information is available through a password and unique customer ID. In addition, your Registration Information resides on secure servers that only selected IKCS personnel and contractors have access to via password. Personal information that you provide that does not constitute Registration Information also resides on secure servers and is accessible only to selected IKCS personnel and contractors via password. Since this information is not accessible online by you, you will not be asked to select a password in order to view or modify such information.

Please note that any information you post to a public bulletin board, such as the IKCS commentary service under individual content pages on Site, is available to all persons accessing that location, and your e-mail address may also be posted on these venues. The information you share, including your email address, would then be available to all persons accessing these venues, and such information may be read, collected or used by others for any purpose, including sending you unsolicited messages. IKCS is not responsible for any information you elect to submit in these venues or the use of such information. In addition, you should be aware that there are postings in which subscribers are e-mailed a copy of all messages posted to the Site on a particular topic. Consequently, if you post a message to any of the open forums, your e-mail address may be accessible or sent to those subscribers who have indicated an interest in the topic of your message.

Tracking, use of cookies, web beacons and similar devices

In order to improve our Products and Services and the Site and provide more convenient, relevant experiences to our customers, we and our vendors may use "cookies", “web beacons”, and similar devices to track your activities.

While IKCS uses cookies and similar devices to track your use of the Site and the Products and Services, such as the number of downloads, types of Products and Services used and downloaded, how many users we receive daily, and our web servers automatically log the IP/Internet address of your computer, IKCS does not use this information to identify you personally. However, if you expressly provide consent for the Site or the Product and Service to "remember" the unique identifier that you select when you register for various activities on the Site or the Products and Services, that unique identifier will be stored on a cookie on your computer and that unique identifier will be linked to your Registration Information
